How is everyone doing this week? Hope all is well. It’s all good on this side, even-though the weather is kinda annoying right now, besides that all good.
Let’s start with our weekly Photo Post and then move on to other things. This week I have another beautiful Set with Magdalena for you. One of my fave in terms of mood, but also the editing just fit so so well.

Quite the mellow week in terms of working through stuff. Constantly at it, but nothing to stressy. I kinda feel bad as I think I need to be working more and faster at sorting all the stuff thats still lying around or just thrown into boxes for the Art and the photo studio, but it really take so much energy out of me, which is hilarious and I am not really sure why. In the end its nothing too important and there is constant progress. Also I am wondering if there is a good new storage idea maybe that could help a little.
One of the things on my mind this week was the Strikes the Writer Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild are on right now and not only why, but also how the media (including entertainment Youtubers) is portraying it and how “regular” people perceive the whole thing. We have gotten to a point in our society where money for sure is the most impressive thing you can possess. Not that have lots of money wasn’t ever impressive, but for a long time in many cultures you had to have something with it… right?! A SUPERTALENT or something. And people like Shitlon Musk and many people in Tech for example have perfected duping people into thinking they are super intelligent or know a lot more than others. Which I understand works for a while, but when the veil is lifted… I kinda am at a loss for words how people like to just ignore the facts…
The same comes into play with big Corporations and even Billionaires (which brings Shitlon back into the game) to be honest. We’ve had the tribal fighting for a long long time, I mean… way after Tribes where a thing for the majority of our World, but for example with Sports-clubs, but even when you think of stupid shit like the Console wars, Xbox vs. Playstation or Apple vs. Windows, Apple vs. Android, Canon vs. Nikon. And I used to be a dummy like that too for a while, but we as people tend to get our panties wet for completely unimportant shit like this. The really sad and shocking part is though, that nowadays we often see that people like to take the sides of the big Corporations, rather than for example here the workers… Be it the Hollywood strike or for example the unionisation efforts of Amazon workers. And yeah these are all US centric examples I hear my non US readers say, but this happens more and more around the world, too. Also a lot of shit that happens now in the US will be adapted around the Globe a few years later. The Shit gets transported around as the fucking Q people showed quite well. Anyways… the other problem I feel is that we are loosing empathy for other people. From all the indoctrinated christian stuff we learn in the western world to common sense things to just care about others, especially less fortunate people and those who might need a little help or just moral support. Too often nowadays you see and hear that people do not grasp or care about other peoples bad situations. Whatever that situation might be and often the first reaction is putting the blame on the person that is in the bad situation, be it difficult housing situation, or living in an area that just has no economy left to live of or even war ridden places like Ukraine or Syria. “Why don’t they just leave?!” “Nobody forces them to stay there!” etc. etc. is stuff you often hear, when they make it our of their fucked up situation though, on a fucking Dinghy with 20 other people for weeks on the Ocean, they of course are not welcome here because, they are just brown fucking rapists and criminals, right?! And these are just good examples to drive home the point regarding empathy and humanity in our lives. As we come back to the writers and actors, on the one hand we have incapability to understand that not every actor and writer is a Superstar and super wealthy, some have multiple jobs besides acting and no health insurance etc. etc. but also not seeing the economics at play, but siding with big Studios like Disney and Netflix and so on. As I am writing that, I wonder if that comes from the “familiarity” people have with these brands as they see and use them every day. Also all these tech and media companies have built these amazing even mythical reputations of how intelligent and complicated their businesses and the tech they use is that being impressed by that forms the opinions of what most people think of them. I would love to get in the whole AI vs Machine Learning thing, but I really do not have the time today and am probably writing about this for way too long already, but one other very good example that shows how these kinds of media companies like to operate as they pretend they cannot pay their workers a little bit more, but their profits go up and up and their CEOs line their pockets with outrages amounts of money plus lets not forget the almighty Shareholders that ALWAYS get more… The fucking Music Industry used to tell us for over a decade or even longer how piracy was destroying the music business and how all these big big companies where hurting so bad, which would and did reflect on how they could pay their artists. Just in the end for us to find out very very clearly nowadays, that all that theatre and all those campaigns, same as with VHS Tapes and DVDs btw, were utter bullshit, pardon my french. And the number don’t lie. Yet they still ride the poop train they built and other media industries have taken over the design and built it into a whole armada of poop transportation for them to ride on and bring the lies and bullshit data to the masses. The amounts of money especially the writers are talking about do not even put the slightest dent into any of the Studios bottom lines for a year even, but the greed and pure evilness (yeah I am quite dramatic myself) is just stunning the Studios are showing off here. Same really goes for all the Actors and one contra point I hear from for example also Youtubers and not only Mainstream Media that for example the System of residuals is not applicable in the streaming age and that those things are unrealistic and these fancy pants Actors need to get a grip of reality and so on, which is stunning as no one really expects that, but in the same way that the consumption of media has changed, the remuneration has to be adapted as well. And that does not mean not paying those pesky little Actors anymore, but those companies really just don’t want to and the consumers, at least a lot of them do not seem to care. The implications are quite horrifying in so many regards, but just what would happen to the quality of media that will be produced. Most people like to bitch and moan about Marvel Movies and Blockbuster Cinema anyway, but lack the basic understanding where this is going with all the constant remakes and rehashing BS we are getting and what would and maybe will happen if we cut out more and more creative professionals and let the bean counters take over even more of the world. And YEAH YEAH shut the fuck up you “BUT ITS A BUSINESS” people out there. Go hit your head on something hard and pointy. As you can see I really am kinda invested in all this, not only because I love the Industry and what it produces as a consumer and fan, but it is a very nice and easy example to find the same structures and example in other parts of life and other industries even. I never take enough time structure these text unfortunately, so sorry for a probably quite messy segment here, but I hope you understand what I am trying to get to and why it makes me sad that a lot if not most press and news sources are in the hands of the same people that are involved in these Studios and companies and they try to steer the narrative and influence the publics opinion on a matter that should be super super clear… but apparently isn’t. Sad times and it just goes downhill from hear I fear.
Talking about Media Consumption, I watched a bit more One Piece this week and am enjoying it more and more as we get to more familiar with everyone and the world they are in. We also finished Liaison & Silo, and even-though Liaison had quite a few humps I enjoyed it, but really love Silo. Everytime I thought oh their is a weird problem with the story here and their, an explanation was kinda not far away. It’s obviously not watertight, but what really is. If you can’t watch both, Silo would be my front runner. Of course we had a couple episodes of Triple D in there this week again and no movies. Nothing new around and as I really do not go to the cinemas here in Cologne anymore, my chance of catching Barbie, Oppenheimer or Mission Impossible were slim to begin with. Hope the VODs aren’t that far out. Still a mystery to me how we got THAT fucking close to having VOD releases at the same time or much much closer which Lockdowns were going on and lost that battle again. Ah well, really don’t have the energy for another rant in this weeks edition.
I know I promised Streams a few weeks back, but this coming week I will 100% start streaming again. Probably starting with some gaming content as I am not sure yet how to do streams from my art studio properly yet, but we might have an editing stream in there too. For sure some Diablo 4 though. As the first Season is upon us and all the Cry-Baby content creators have relaxed a bit, this is quite fun. And Blizzard seems to be committed to correcting some errors with the last patch and even the initial release which is a good thing overall. So yeah…
