Goooood day good day. I am a bit late today, but it really is good to catch up on sleep. As we just came back from a week long trip to Paris, this weeks Photo Post is all about that of course.
We did not watch any Shows or Movies on our Trip, no cinema visits or anything, but since we got back we did catch up on Ahsoka, started the second Season of The Bear finally and fiiiiinally watched the Barbie Movie.
Ahsoka is such a good Star Wars Show… and it has all the “problems” all the other Star Wars Shows have I guess when it comes to presenting scale and all that production side stuff, it also is not as well written as Andor, but it somehow gives the best combo of all things and is the best of combining pre existing canon and especially taking from animated stuff and bringing it into a new Show combining so many things together.
The Bear keeps hitting so fucking hard with so little fanfare and glitter. Just good ol’ filmmaking, acting writing. I just love the humanity, the food related things and so on. Just so beautiful. Can’t wait to finish this Season this coming week.
The Barbie Movie was exactly what I expected after so much hype and talk about it and after waiting so long to watch it (on a sidenote, the fact we have to wait so long for Movies to hit VOD in 2023 is just shameful and sad, these cinema first/only cult people are fucking dumb and annoying). Really enjoyed it. It is Satire at its best and I love how much of a self-report it is when you bitch and moan about how “man-hating”, woke, whatever is. I do not read or watch Reviews about stuff much anymore, but I remmeber hearing that someone was miffed about Barbie being in distress the whole time, crying etc. and seeing that as a negative, I thought it fit quite well as her whole world is falling apart, everything she ever believed in is basically destroyed and she needs to go through that and come out on top… Either way, I loved it.
I still have urge to watch Oppenheimer… mostly because I despise Nolans posturing, but also meh… we know what happened, who he was etc. etc. and yeah one day I will check out the wonderful work that went into it, but I have so much more stuff I wanna watch I do not know that much about.
I did get some time into my second Cyberpunk play-through, I will for sure stream more tonight as I need to get through it a bit quicker I feel like. Phantom Liberty is coming this next week and I am not sure how far I want to be before I jump into the expansion. Also every Streamer I watch will be probably jumping into it and I don’t wanna get spoiled if possible. I also checked last night… on my first play-through account on GOG how much I played and it shows 178 hours. Which is my first play-through and a couple new Characters I started to test some things. also I think it was at 85% completion which on GOG I think only means the achievements. As I for sure did all the missions and side missions and so one. Yet no idea how far I will and can take it before jumping into the expansion. I am so far though and did finish the Missions that are needed to jump right into it, so we will see. I feel like though I need get a bit stronger before I do. Maybe 40 Streetcred or something.
While we are on the topic of Cyberpunk, the new Soundtrack is out as well and that is a good time to use a service our friend Sascha posted a couple weeks back on his Blog, that is perfect for linking Music when you are not sure what Service everyone else uses. No Pottery news as we were travelling, but I fiiiiiiiinally got my Diode Laser. It was a Kickstarter thingy even-though it is made by Elegoo and it took quite some time to arrive, but man oh man am I happy. I just need to get a hang of Lightburn, the software basically everyone uses with their Lasers, as so far I am just doing Material test burns to get used to dialling in settings and so on.
Nothing exciting to show, but at least the first four photos with my new phone. The Machine itself is quite large, but man will it be wonderful to finally get stuff going with the laser. Also I will start modifying the Workshop soon as I am not happy with the way my 3D printers and everything are setup right now, also I want a good and easy way to build and set up an air and fume extraction. There is still some accessories for the Laser missing, hope those arrive soon as well.
