I decided to write this in the middle of the night as we have entered the grand finale of the Cologne Carnival Season and living in the city center makes it a noisy time. Lots of Music, shouting, singing and I guess it will be nice to write this now and concentrate on ignoring the festivities tomorrow. As someone born in Cologne you will most likely have participated on the Karneval proceedings in one way or the other and I have. For a long long time, but at some point in my life it was time to turn away from it all. Been there, done that. Maybe for next year I could actually go through all the physical photo albums from way back when and look for some Karneval themed photos for your amusement.
Talking about amusement, the Photo Post of the week takes us back to wonderful Bangkok.

Youtube Random Selection:
Mooooovie Time. This was a good week in terms of entertainment. We started with the short called The After. Adam Driver in 65, which was better than expected after everyone kinda being very negative about it. The Platform was next. Spanish production that kinda reminded me a bit of the original Cube. Great premise, great production for such a type of film. Not sure why, but I was in the mood to re-watch Yojimbo all of a sudden. If you’ve never watched it, you might wanna start now. And then finally caught up with two movies I wanted to watch for a while now. The Marvels and Dream Scenario. Both fun in their own way obviously, but I mean Nic fucking Cage is just killing it right now. Dream Scenario is so weird and wonderful it really is a must watch. And as for The Marvels it is so baffling how the buzz around it was mostly negative. At least the loudest parts, but the incels dipshits are really just sad. Within the MCU it really is one of the more fun ones and I just enjoy the cast doing their thing. Seems more fun than most others nowadays. It’s Comic-Book Movies… I mean… whats up here.
Anywho, TV Show we did not go off script really True Detective, On the Roam and Dinnertime with David Chang which all three were keep on rocking. And finally The Great Pottery Throw Down is back!
After finishing Project Hail Mary last week I was kinda unsure which book to start and I fell on 1Q84, which was on my list for a long time. For the most time heard a lot of praise, then in recent years some interesting critique that then peaked my interest even more to see whats what. I am still very much at the beginning, so I cannot speak to any of it, but I am very interested to see where it all goes.
A quick Pottery update, I keep going back and forth with the ideas I have of how to proceed, but it always helps if you actually need something you could make. As it happens, we need a fruit basket and with spring around the corner that was my next project. As the first few steps don’t take that much time until you have to wait a bit for the clay to dry somewhat I did a few small thingies here and there like a soap dish and so on.
I also did say goodbye to my trusty Fuji X100V. A new generation is around the corner and I thought, just in case that one rocks my boat I get ahead of the game a bit, but now I do feel a bit naked without my daily companion. Ah well. If I am lucky if will only be a couple of weeks.
Last but not least for this week I want to announce my very own Patreon Page. I have a bit of a write up about it all over there of course, but the gist of it really is that a lot of the model related stuff I do, mostly the artistic nude stuff just has no place on the web anymore. At least for the time being and I want to see what I can build over there. It will not only be those shoots, but we will for sure start with them and give them a proper home. And most importantly it will hopefully become a place where people can come and show a bit of support if they feel like it. Do not feel pressured or anything, but if you enjoy the stuff I do, from the nudes to the art pieces and all that, this certainly will help going forward. And it all should go well hand in hand with the Youtube and Twitch stuff. Even-though I have to admit, I am pondering to keep Twitch for gaming streams only to be honest… but we will see. I am also very much looking forward to what you guys think about the whole thing. Suggestions and all that. For now there is only one tier. I went with all the recommended things that Patreon puts up for newbies on their platform and I hope you will at least come over and have look. I have a bunch of thing up already and I will be adding more and more things. New ones of course, old ones will be re-uploaded as well, but also older unpublished photo sets. And so much more.
As for the Blog and the photo sets. I will add a couple from each shoot as a nude teaser up, but not the whole sets anymore. The first post over there will have all the details for now, in case I forgot anything at this hour. Come on over and become a Beastie!
