THE WEAKLY 064

The Weakly number sixty four.

Welcome friends, foes and people with ugly toes.

Yoooo, whats up with the weather right now. Not sure how it is where you are but we have for a couple month now been going from nice and spring like to colder and moister and this last week was another one of those. And this back and forth is not only annoying, but also affects my energy. Not that I am this incredible bundle of energy, but it kinda is annoying and makes you feel tired more than it should.

For the photo post of the week we have our first set with the wonderful Irina. I do also have my first set of walk-around photos with my new X100, but I just forgot to make the post beforehand and might just add it later today or tomorrow the latest. I will ad a few shots further down this post though, so we can at least get a little taste.

Talking about Youtube, I finally recorded a little Intro/Channel Trailer for my Youtube Channel. Come on over sub for all the things I am planning to film and upload next.

Not much time spent watching shows or movies this week. Weird, but it is what it is.

For Saturday Movie Night we had a fun Double Feature. Well… an interesting one at least. Started off with Doug Limans Road House. I am not a fan of constant remake and remaster BS in movies and games, but this was a fun one, a fun take and well made. And contrary to Doug Liman being pissed at Amazon for putting it on Prime right away instead of the Cinema (check the Casey Nistat Video linked above), I am very happy about it. Also I get the whole made for the big screen thing, but I also do not go to the cinema anymore and I have talked about it for ages and… probably should be a little video one day. And I know I am being an ass saying that, but as Connor McGregors behaviour has not been great either over the years I feel less bad about it… Dude get a fucking acting coach. What was that… luckily it ads a bit to the overall feel of the movie, but still. We then went on a decided between Anatomy of a Fall and Poor Things and landed on Poor Things, which might have been a mistake. Well… it was. It also is not that I regret watching it, but it was not as good as people make it out to be I guess. On my Letterboxed I noted “Hmm... kinda torn.
So very artistic and in times expressive, yet quite long feeling and boring as well.” And it really boils it own. Lots of nudity, sex, artful sets and costumes, good performances, sometimes great, but it does not excite or move at any point with any of that. I probably would not recommend it, but if you really have nothing else to watch… give it a go.
We are still catching up with The Great Pottery Throwdown season.

Again not much gaming this week. Right now I kinda have not the patience for like a COD grinding or so and also not a single player game that has me in its grip that I actually want to play a lot.

Pottery class was great this week as I just sat back down at the wheel and continued throwing cups. Just like last week. And got four more coups done. When I get back in a few weeks I clean those eight cups up and finish them before throwing more, but it really is a nice exercise to keep throwing. I learn much better like that instead of making one or two then finish them and then go back, but we now have school holidays coming up where the course always is off as well and then I am on a two week production, so we will not continue for little bit.

I have been designing some new versions of my Instax Frames for the Store that actually prints easier and kinda faster than what I have had so far. I think this is a nice one and will print a bunch soon to finally put up for sale. With photos in the of course.

I also found this design on Printables for these little trays and printed a bunch, great for little parts, screws or whatever. Always handy to have something like that around and they print quite quickly.

Talking about 3D Printing and coming back to the new X100VI I reprinted my old Thumbrest design with my little Gozilla Diorama. This is my first time doing it in ABS Like Resin as I wanted something less brittle as the small little details kept breaking off after a while and this seems a lot better. Though the thumb rest part itself actually is a bit less stiff. Which hasn’t been a problem handling the camera yet, but well it is different. I also designed different versions of it and tried printing them yesterday, but that failed and I am not sure why… the ABS Like stuff certainly prints different.

And as promised a couple shots with the new camera. I am really happy with the upgrades. Lots of videos and talk about the VI, I do not care about any of it, as this upgrade was exactly what I wanted improved on the V. IBIS and more resolution.

Aaaaand also another reminder for the Patreon Page as we part ways for this week, maybe give it a chance and for those kind souls that already signed up, thank you!!! A full new and exciting photo set coming monday. The teaser post on the blog will be live later this week as well.

Have a beautiful Sunday and…
stay safe out there, be kind, to others, to yourself.
T.

Also here you can find my friends post of this week with whom?(!?!?) I entered into this weekly arrangement. It will be updated as they link their posts. Some are in German btw.

AND AS MY EMBEDD DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE I WILL DO THIS MANUALLY NOW.
